The books topic - What are you reading?
Now, let's go with a book topic.
Which book are you currently reading? Which books have you liked the most?
Don't hesitate to share your favorite books and your discoveries!
I ask everyone to do a minimum or effort to develop their posts.
----------
Me? I will not be original : I am currently reading the Harry Potter serie. I have read the 2 first books and I am currently reading the 3rd one I received with the 4th book for Christmas.
Personally, when I read a Harry potter, when I begin, it's hard for me to snap myself out from my reading, I really get absorbed by the story.
After reading the Harry potter, I don't know which book I will read next.

Re: The books topic - What are you reading?
I read everything, and nothing really. Actualy it all depends in the mood I am in. I can read magasine if I'm waiting for my wife in the car knowing it wont last a hundred years, but I can read a good thick book all bloody boring sunday afternoon's. It all depend's ......... but I call also read and have fun with comics. That is what I do most of the time indeed, 'cause I like having fun in many ways.
To come back to or thick books, what I really hate on top of every thing, is starting a book, and putting it back down a thousan time for one or an other reason. You know, I mean it's really very fustrating, you starting the book, and then next minute, you've got you're wife tickling your toes, or she'll start yelling from the kitchen "and whoes going to do the washing up ?" that is the kind of thing that drives me crazy. So befor starting up my book, I make sure that we are Monday evening so I can read alone and in peace my book, from the monday till friday evening.

Recently, I finished the 6th tome of the Harry Potter books and now, it will be a hard time for me to wait for the 7th tome.
so, I will soon begin a new serie of books. I don't know if it's available in English, but its French title is "Les Chevalier d'Émeraude". It has already 6 tomes and its genre is Medieval fantasy. These books are written by Anne Robillard (a Quebec writer) and they're having a lot of success in French communities.
I received the 1st tome yesterday and I'm thinking about reading it during a trip my parents and I are going to do at August 12 and 13 (I will be away from this board these days) in the southern shores in our province of Quebec.

6 ? It's not 12 ?Katt wrote:so, I will soon begin a new serie of books. I don't know if it's available in English, but its French title is "Les Chevalier d'Émeraude". I don't really like this serie of books. The Author Haves make a big world with a lot of Character (?). Now, It's complicate to read the book. A group is here. Another is here. The third is here. The wizard is here. I don't think I continue this book.
I read Another serie: Amos Daragon. It's a Québec writer; Bryan Perro who write the books. The story is verry good. but... little. The last book of the serie is '' La fin des dieux '' and he is in your library (in québec) the october 18 2005TH. But, I don't know why; The book is traduct (?) in 18 languages, but not in English !
Da Vinci code is good to. Artemis fowl 1 have a very good story.
Other ... Huh ... Harry Potter Is The best of the best. Enjoy to read the seventh !
Good Night !
Re: The books topic - What are you reading?
A few weeks ago I read the final book in Lemony Snicket's A series of unfortunate events. The End which was the final book, I found rather disappointing, giving all the mysteries that were in the previous 12 books. What I really hate is that the Baudelaire Orphans left the island but we don't know what happens to them! The death of Kit Snicket spoiled the book and Count Olaf, the "baddie" died without a major fight! How many books do you know the baddie just dies without any conflict?
This book, and the previous 6 books completely ruined what was going to be a good series. 14 books on basically nothing.
Please note: The first few books are really good
I am now moving onto a book called 101 Things you need to know, and some you don't! which has 101 different questions answered. From What is the scariest thing on earth? to What would happen if we went near a black hole?. This book is good and I highly recommend it.

But right now, I'm reading "A little on everything" or something like that - very good book and 'd advise it to pretty much all sorts of people and all ages

I'm receive the book ''Eragon'' (in french). Really nice. But, I don't like the mysterious side of the book. Ex:
A guys is name Shadow. I just know that about him (Where i'm in the book). It's that for a lots of characters...
I don't really like this mood. But I think we will know more about him in the rest of the story ... So I will finish this book. ^^
