Help!! I Need to Know How to Get Rid of An Annoying Guest

I have this guest from Japan on this forum I go on and I can't IP ban him for some reason. I've banned his same IP address five times already and he's not affected for some reason. Can anyone help?

It most Likely a Google Bot, Yahoo Bot, MSN bot. Dont be worried it only helps your forum. Also there is no way of getting rid of bots.

I don't think it's a bot. I checked at the bottom of the forum and it says there isn't even a single bot online.

There is nothing you can do.

OK then. I'll just wait and see. It's probably a bot like you said though I'm not too sure. We've had this same guest online on the old one as well and this guest has been around since the hackers took over the old site.

Try just delete him, or you can ban him by doing this:

ACP>Users & groups>Search users>find the user>go to bottom of user's profile>User Active>Banned

There is no way of banning a guest.

you can also set your forum permissions for members only.
Then they would have to be a member to view post or reply depending how you have your forums permissions set.Also bots can only gather information to the forums you allow guest to see.they can not gather info for forums that are not set for all members.
