My Thanks button isn't appearing

For some reason, I can only see the thanks button on certain topics, not all, and my members cant see the thanks button at all... how can i fix this?

I dont even think the hidden code works..

No I havnt but I worked hard on my current theme so I dont want to mess it up by changing it, is there any other way I can see why the thanks button isnt appearing?

Yeah also for me.The thanks button isnt visible in my forum,only the + and - sign,but i want the thanks button how to do it? can someone help us?

Idk if they set the thanks button for forumotion, but I noticed it doesnt even appear here either. Also we need a way to make the + and - signs more visible to stand out. Some people dont even notice those symbols. Also I noticed on post that the thanks button appears on, it doesnt even show what members thanked the post...

Sanket, other than providing a reminder of the rules, do you have any helpful ideas in regards to this issue? Do we need to edit something in the CSS for the button to appear? I am really unsure as to why its not even appearing.

Did you make sure that the image hasn't been replaced by an invisible one? If you aren't sure, go to, Display>Pics Management>Advanced Mode>Buttons>"Thanks Button">, and make sure the box next to it isn't checked.

Its not hidden & there is an image for it. Which is why im wondering why its not even showing

it's only appear for the thread starter.

Try it, if you are the thread starter, you can see the thanks button,

if you are the poster , you can't see thanks button.

Thanks for your feedback. So far your statement checks out. I have checked all the post I made and the thanks button appears for users who replied. Now that we understand that part, we need to figure out how to enable the thanks button for everyone, even if they didnt start the topic.

Sometimes I or other members create helpful threads and people would simply like to hit the "thanks" button for those kinds of threads. Also when you make text hidden, it should be set to allow us to press "thanks" in order for the hidden text to appear like on other forums.

Also, once you have "thanked" someone already for that thread, the button disappears im pretty sure...correct me if im wrong ^_^

I think your right, which is pretty dumb. Why only allow the topic start to use the thanks button and why only allow it to be used once by one person.. This really needs to be worked on then.

yeah same here, the only thing that appears is the +/- as well. But even that doesnt even show you who made the positive or the negative. -___- I hope they fix this.

The +/- is different. It is made to add/subtract only one. The "Thanks" adds three. You see? And I don't think you can ever see who made the vote or clicked "Thanks".

Maybe not on forumotion forums but I can assure you its possible. But before we get off topic, going back to the thanks button; We need a way to display this option for everyone, im thinking it might involve the CSS coding.

I've change Reputation button into Thanks, so it become Thanks, and i deleted the - button,

and i unactivated Thanks button.

Rep = Show on all post,

so i can give Thanks a lot

This sounds interesting, can you please explain what you you did? It sounds like a nice work around method for the thanks feature

He went to users and groups>profiles then modified the reputation button to thanks,
therefore, using the reputation feature as thanks

Delete the - button, then copy the Thanks Image and replace the + button,

then rename Reputation Power into Thanks, and make every sub-forum +1 if i click the Thanks button
