Pet questions

i've added a "Points Shop" category.Where members can visit the category/shop and purchase items such as pets for points.

My questions:

1st-how do i deduct or add points to members?
2nd-Lets say one of my member buys a pet.And i want to show it in his profile and messages,when i make it displayable for messages and profile,than ALL members will have pets when they did'nt buy it.How do i edit that?I only want members who bought it to have it displayed in both profiles AND messages.

I only know the 2nd question, no, if you put one pet on a member, the other members will not have unless you put a pet on them also, you need to add a profile fields first, as said on the pet tut, once you'd done that, you can put pets on one member by going to their profile fields>paste the url of pet image on the pet field>save

yes.I clicked the link you gave me.Added it.I changed it to default value.Than everyone got it.How to specify it to SOME members only and not all?
