What contests do you have? What awards are you offered?
My best contest is: Super Poster. Only first three users who are in top in last 3 months get a theme and access to all forum categories

Two and they are based around football , one is our own Predictor , to guess the scores on 13/14 football games every weekend and the other is sponsored by Texaco , that two is a predictor kind of game but you get to choose your team from a set amount of money , with injuries , bans and transfers , Fantasy League is the name , check it out , see if you will be a good manager

I like contest like: Create a banner for us in photoshop

Not really a contest, more like a raffle. Random members are selected and they get gift cards , etc

I currently have 0 active members =P but hoping to work on that as my forum is now mainly done, Obviously I will keep sending out updates all the time though.

My next competition which you may also like is to create a badge / rank for them selves, and the winner gets to have the badge as their rank.

Sincerely, I had on one of my old forums a contest for banners. I gave possibliti to members to choose what banner do do: 450x60px or 300x135px... Of course you can use my idea.

For the best story,best song and best photography

We have member of the month who receives a title for that month and then at the end of every year we have member of the year. Whoever wins member of the year receives the title for the year and a special prize, which is usually signed band items or CDs.

For holidays we have banner competitions,the winner gets their banner displayed on the forum for the whole holiday season and receives ten member points.

We used to have art and writing competitions every month but we stopped that due to lack of entries.

Around Christmas time I had a referral contest. The winner got some extra cash Via PayPal.

Besides that, there's a contest each month at my forum with a prize of $20 US to the winner's PayPal or their ForuMotion forum,

I am having a year-long best Zoo Tycoon show & tell contest on my forum.

I've given away a domain before in a referral contest!

It worked out really well, in the end.

What are some good idea's for a contest? I'm trying to decide what would make a good contest to have on a forum to help generate activity. Any ideas or suggestions?
