Email issues

Hi all, I hope that this is the right area to post this.

OK. I use 123-reg to host my URL and recently I purchased a Email address from them which was info@patrolforum.co.uk, I have been having issues with the email server and when I contacted 123 tech support they advised that the email address is pointing towards my forum hosts (you guys), the tech advised me to contact you and request a IP of my forum, they say that once they receive that they can sort out the email issues. Can someone help me with this please.

My forum URL is Patrolforum.co.uk

Couldn't the support team there just ping the address for an IP?

Hi thanks, that does sound like a good solution but I am only relaying the information that they gave me. I will call them tomorrow and ask them that question and will let you know the answer, im new to the whole email URL name thing so please forgive my ignorance...

Thanks MrMario, I have contacted 123 who said that pinging the address is not always reliable but they have done so anyway, they have the IP sorted now so hopefully things will be alright.
