new members cant register !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

new members trying to register on my forum are getting this message "Sorry, but this username has already been taken." THE USERNAME IS NOT TAKEN , I thought it was weired that no new members had registered lately , can you please sort it

Hi, try going to:

1. Administration Panel (advanced mode)
2. General Tab
3. Security (on the left, under Forum)
4. Check 'Unauthorize subscriptions made with the most commonly used spam usernames. : No'

thanks that has done the trick , but they wasn't commonly used names

seems to be , but i tryied a lot of different names and it would not let any of them register, so i do think something is wrong somwhere

Well the names considered as spam names are way beyond our understanding.
