Why can't I just copy and paste the embed code for embedding to work? I've seen it work on other forumotion forums but it will not work on mine.

I usually have to use the # button and then write youtube in, i.e. , as opposed to simply copying the embed code, and pasting it in the quick reply box

I didn't know that worked, I usually use the whole embed code.

But what I'm saying is why do I even have to bother writings in when I've seen other forumotions boards that don't require it

Be sure you have the "Allow HTML" option set to yes in your admin panel from admin panel=>Users & groups=>Users=>User settings

Are there any disadvantages to allowing HTML? Why is the default selection "no"?
