    Solved Trying to change smileys

    Post by angel_of_night February 24th 2012, 6:16 am

    Hello.

Today I deleted some emoticons from my forum to replace for new ones.
But I wanted to use the same code for them and they are uploaded fine.
But when I post the code, it shows the old smiles, not the new ones.

Does anyone know how to fix this please? Thank you so much!

    Hi,

It simply means that there is another simle added to your AP that has the F1 code for it. Add an other code in this part and it should fix it self. If you want to use the F1 search through your smiles did you delete the one that has the F1 code. If you did not delete it.

    Hi,

Before proceeding with adding an additional smilie, I would highly recommend informing the database of the changes, or 'Syncing' the changes.
    Here's a tutorial for it:

Yes... I deleted the F1 emote and it's saying that I still have it. I searched all of my emoticons and there none with F1 code.
Also when I post F1 on posts, doesn't appear any emote.

@Darren1: Thanks for the suggestion, but didn't work Confused

What happens if you use the code :f1: or :f1 instead of just F1 ?

Nothing if i use those 3 codes.
Because I am sure I deleted them, to update new ones with the same code :/
But then is giving me that error...

So, the same error is given when you use alternatives?

If so, what happens when you upload a different emoticon, with different code?

    LOL omg...

I can't upload the emoticon F1 becuase it's saying that the F1 already exists, when it doesnt.

Same is happening with the emoticons I deleted before, and I am trying to upload again with the same code as before, and is giving me that error...

EDIT: nevermind. I tried today and I actually can upload the new smilies again, but as the topic https://help.forumotion.com/t105219-smilies-not-updating says, they won't upload to the new ones.
For example I had a smiley F2 that showed ( thumleft ) image, changed to F2 that showed ( flower ) image, but the F2 currently shows thumleft instead of flower ...
