    Post by d3jsp February 26th 2012, 1:02 am

    Hello all,

This site here has (http://d4jsp.forumotion.co.uk/forum) copied the entire layout, copyrighted images, design, ranks, and stars of http://www.d3jsp.org and has also been advertising on our site as spoof/phishing attempt. He has threatened our users to join and disclosed their personal information which he has collected (Facebook, phone number, names) . Can you someone look into this, Thank you.

    Hi,

There's a requirement of 2 posts to send a PM, you can send PM's now, it's just to prevent spambots sending spam via PM.

To be perfectly honest, you can PM Leeloo (link on right), as she works in the office, however, I don't think she can do much.

There are two paths you can follow in order to have action, the first being the best option as it can be dealt with in-house.

    Option 1

If your French is good(or your comfortable with Google Translator), go to our French Support Forum, where a member of Pro-staff there who works within the company, and then can also follow this up, verify your complaint, on our end, and the litigation office can then take necessary action.

I cannot stress how important it is to go via this method, as it will be dealt with quickly, as the 2nd in charge of E-Toxic, the name of the umbrella that ForuMotion (MotionForums, ForumActif, ForumActivo Editboard Ect) operates under.
Please also be prepared to back your case up, as this is a serious allegation on the internet. (though the term is thrown around loosley nowdays)

    Option 2

If However, you do not get a response after 5 full business days(As the team do not work on the weekend, and tomorrow will be Sunday) and there has been ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE by ANYONE of any colour, then you may state your case to the Local Authorities, but please note, your local police will need a significant period of time in order for anything happens, as E-Toxic (Forumotion, ForumActif, ForumActivo ect) is a FRENCH time (+1GMT), and due to the time delay, and both offices having to verify this, it may take in excess of 60 days. This is due to the legal proceedings. (warrant, access to the DB, verification of who owns what ect)
This is why I cannot stress Option 1 enough, as it is a quicker option.

    Thank you,
    Darren.

the forums both look completely different to me??
But the bottom line is if you have a complaint about another forumotion forum then it will have to be sent to forumotion litigation's as SLG mentioned above.

It looks completely different because he changed the images that were directly linked to d3jsp. Check the forum layout and especially the descriptions, they are the same word for word. Also, if you look at the image buttons on top (register, ranks) some are still directly linked from our site

    Hello Darren !!

Issues of English people are treated on the English Support Forum. thumright Thank you for helping the other members but the pro admins of the French forum will not help him more than me because Forumotion and Forumactif are totally independent.
    Thanks a lot ! Wink
