If someone deletes their account, is there any way at all to recover that account? Sorry if this is in the wrong place, didn't know exactly where I should post it

Do you mean a deleted forum or a members's account on a forum?

A member's account. I just did a restore on the forum to the way it was yesterday. The person's account is showing back up on some posts, others it still shows guest, so I'm not sure if that worked or not

Check to see if the member is listed in the memberlist.

They are
EDIT: It seems that the account is back. The member is listed in the memberlist. The profile shows up. You can see the messages they've put. But should I be worried about the posts still showing up as guest?

So what you want is to retrieve an account that was deleted? If so, not possible.

It appears to be possible, because when I did the restore it was back, and the member was able to log on the account. The profile was back up with all their messages, avatar, signature, everything

But your talking about backing up your whole forum. I see no point of doing that because, your erasing msgs/threads that you have done in the future.
But if you want to get back, an account that you have deleted, without backing up your forums, rhen there isn't a way.
What exactly is your problem? You don't want the msgs to appear as "Guest"

Am I not writing this clearly. My problem was, an account was deleted. We needed to reactivate the account. I restored the forum, and, it worked. The account is back. And no, I didn't erase any messages. All the posts were the same. All that changed was the members' profiles

If reactivating the account was the only thing you had to do, then the member wasn't deleted, but was merely deactivated. There is a difference between the two.
Deactivated profiles can be recovered and deleted ones cannot. That's why there is confusion here. =)

Um no, I hate to disappoint you, but the account WAS deleted. It sent me an email saying the account has been deleted. The profile was gone from the memberlist, everything, all the posts just showed up as guest

Not disappointed, at all! I'm glad your problem is solved. =) It is solved, isn't it?

Alright,
Like I have mentioned above. After deleting an account you can't get back. There's one optionto backup your forums but I dont really recommend that due to the fact that new msgs/threads will be deleted.
Is your problem solve?

Again, I did get the account back by backing up the forum. I didn't lose ANY messages/threads.
