I want to delete my account at a Forumotion site but admin is preventing me from doing so.

I have been trying to delete my account from the Forumotion site 'In A Flap' but the admin there is refusing to allow this.

My account has been made inactive. How can i get my account deleted?

Thanks...But i have tried that, but because my account has been made inactive it won't let me and refers me back to the admin of the site.

Other than that there is no way. The admin has full control on what he wants to do with your account.

If you request to have your account deleted by law the admin has to do it or will be in violation.

Oops, i had forgotten to mention that the content remains the property of the admin except if its personal details.

And also, when the admin deletes your account, the content that remains on the forum (aka your posts) conforms with PIPEDA, and remains on the forum anonymyzed, under the name of 'Guest'.

I am the admin of TransitionsNewtown.Forumotion.com. I just opened this forum URL today. There are no posts in it yet, but I've decided that I don't need a forum afterall, so I tried to delete it by typing DELETE in but the URL for the forum is still live. I would like to dlete my account. Why does the site make this so hard? I am worried that people will see this on a google search now. How can I delete it completely and get rid of the account and the URL on searches?

You have to typle the word DELETE in caps like it says, Then you will be sent a conformation email to delete the site.
