Emoticon Pop-out Window

Is it possible to put the Emoticon's that are on the right-hand side of the message writing area to be linked to a little button that says something like "Add Smilies" in its place that when the button is clicked the Emoticons open in a new pop-out window? That would be nice it would cut back on page loading time because the Emoticons wouldn't have to load unless the button was clicked, and also you wouldn't have any boarder issues with the small Emoticon box they are in. The pop-out window could be larger than what the Emoticon box is right now. The pop-out window could flyout in any direction you set the parameters for.

I want a button to click that opens the smiles box in a new window. So the smiles do not show until the button is clicked. When it opens I want it to open in a small to medium size fly-out or pop-out window. I don't have the quick reply enabled on my forum I only use the Regular "Post Reply". So this would need to be for the regular reply.

I great example of what I'm talking about is the way the chatbox handles emoticons, I want the emoticons to work like that when posting a message on the forum.
