Can I send (or have script for it ...) daily mail or PM to all members in group or all forum memebrs with forum news / recent posts / dialy updates ? The thing is that people doesn't want to proactively login the forum few times a day but to get notification with summary of topics to thier mail evry now and then.

Maybe some trick with RSS could work ?

I see that in each forum there is an option " Start watching forum" , does it mean that if I am signed I get email for every post ?

If so, can users be signed automatically when registered ? or as me as moderator can sign people to watch forums ?

That's only an option for them, only when posting in the thread, they will get a message in their email, saying: Someone has posted in this thread blah blah'

You can not set it for everyone. Members have to do it themselves.
