I don't understand it. I've set the permissions for this forum exactly the same as the other forums that guests can see, yet when I log out, I can't see the News section and guests should be able too. I wanted this one viewable mainly for bots. Why can't guests see it? Any ideas?

Hello,
Make sure you have the following the permissions for those forums:
Admin Panel > General > Categories & Forums > Permissions > Make sure the 'view and read' is checked for 'guests' > Save

I've done all that a million times but it still doesn't show to guests. I've checked this and checked that and I don't know what else to check any more. The permissions for that forum are exactly the same for the ones that guests can already see, yet it doesn't show.

This is the link.

The forum in question is the news section, but you won't be able to see it because it won't show to guests.

Mind to PM me the admin account? Or just create a test account with admin access(with a different password) if you want your password to be a secret and send it to me by PM. I'll see what's wrong on your settings. Thanks.

Oh never mind it doesn't matter. I'm not comfortable giving anyone else admin access. No offence. Thanks anyway.

Hi,
If the forum in particular is a sub-forum, then the original forum must be viewable to guests.
For example, the solved forum here.
For the 'Solved' forums to be viewable, their parent/attached to forum must be viewable to guests, so if the forum 'Other problems' is viewable for guests, then the 'Other problems solved'' forum won't be viewable to guests.
I hope this clears things up a bit more
