You cannot trade activity points for a free domain name.
ForuMotion may give your forum a free domain name if its activity points are very high.

Hi, Forumotion does offer a free domain based on activity points. However, the amount of activity points is not given out in order to stop users from cheating the system.

The number of points is adjusted quite regularly, by a particular algorithm, you can't find out the exact amount necessary, sorry.
I confirm on base, you will have a big box, like whats already in the index age of your admin panel saying you have a free domain name.
If your activity increases, or stays the same, you may be offered with a free renewal.
