    Hi,

Add a Google Meta Tag, you cannot upload a file to your forum.
Admin panel >> General > Forum Promotion/Search Engine > Other Meta tag > Meta tag > Put your codes separated into the boxes, save and verify with Google Very Happy

What exactly do you have in the boxes?
It has to be exactly what the code gives, just broken up.
For example, they give you this code:
    <meta name="verify-v1" content="XrXXxGZGxxxxxxxxxxxXJFOycA/dpk+D6wqaI1b7IU3LW/j+g=" />

In the box that says name you would put only 'Verify-v1' -- For you, it'd be something with 'Google-Verification'
And the content box, you'd put in the large bit, in my case the 'XrXXxGZGxxxxxxxxxxxXJFOycA/dpk+D6wqaI1b7IU3LW/j+g' and hit save.
Do not in any case put any ' or " as they are never in meta tags. They will make the tags unreadable

what dose the fist option code look like that you are supposed to put in <head> section?

i think you will have to add it to one of your over all footer templates, home page index template dose not have head tags, and if you add to home page message or announcement then you will have to create a html head to add.

Or try what Darren is saying, It should work the way he is saying ,you just have to be sure you are adding the right content like he is saying.

I would think google would offer some sort of html code to add, so i think that would be the one they are saying to add to your head section.

Kirk, why would you put it in the overall_footer, when there's an overall_header?
The meta tag option above is the only option for you here on forumotion, as you cannot upload any files to your forum.

Oh i was going by this,
    Option one in his list.
-html tag : must put meta tag into the head section..just before the body...

And yes there is head and body section in the over all header template.
But i remember in the past i had to add something to the footer template the same way.
I could have swore it was because the header template had no <body> tags at the time.
forumotion changed a lot in the templates when they added the extra footer.. It was much better when we just had the one footer..lol

But whatever the case, he should still be able to add it to the template with option 1 they provide.
My guess it's just meta tags in a html code.

oh and the upload is probably the same code they are giving for the first option? dunno.
It would help if we could see the official full directions from google Smile
