Right now the Moderators at the bottom of the topics list just has a Moderator link titled "Moderators", but how to I make it so it shows the Moderators name?

I don't know if this will work, but you can try.
Users & groups>Search Users
search for the username & click on it. Permissions tab
Check is moderator
Save. Check then, if the username appears?

I just did that and it says "Groups of this user : Moderators'. And then I check the bottom of one of the forums and it just still has the Moderators link.

On my other forum "Runaway Horses Forum" it has the Moderators name, but it was like that by default I never made that happen. So I still need to know how to make the Moderators name appear at the bottom of the topics list for my other forum here:

At the bottom of the forum in the topics list it just has a hyperlink titled "Moderator" which takes you to the usergroups Moderator page. No name is at the bottom of the topics list just the hyperlink "Moderators".

Does that clarify the problem?

Have you tried this? It has worked for me.

Yes it takes me to there user permission control page and it has a drop menu title "User Level" with only two options "Administrator and Users". Directly to the right of that drop menu it says "Groups of this user : Moderators".

Can you please post a screenshot of the whole page there?

It was set to yes but it showed the Moderator hyperlink (same as screenshot) on the index page, and I don't want that link on the index page. So I have it set to no. On my other forum it shows the moderators name in the topics list and I have it set to Display forum moderators : NO.

So this new forum here is not show the moderators name even when I clicked "Yes" to show it, it still just showed the hyperlink "Moderators" but it also added it to the index page when clicked Yes.

Turn it to Yes for a minute & then change it to No. It works then, please check.

Ok, its set to Yes. Here is a screenshot. As you can see is just says Moderators and not the users name. It still just says Moderator in the topics list too. I am the admin and also a member of the Moderators groups, would that make a difference in what it displays ? On my other forum that shows the users name I am not a member of the Moderator group but I am the admin.

I can't delete myself from the Moderator group.

Okay, i am getting a little lost. Can you PM me a test admin account details? Tell me which username should appear?

I don't have a test admin account I can't do that. The user name that should appear is "Bullshizzlen". The forum is recognizing them as the Moderator, but it just wants to show the Moderator Groups hyperlink instead of there name.

I think it might have something to do with the fact I added myself to the Moderator Group, and is why it is not show Bullshizzlen as the Moderator but rather just showing a Moderator link to the groups.

Like I said, on my other forum where I am the admin I am not in the Moderators group I am just the admin, and it shows the Moderator name. That is the only difference I can see between the two forums.

I have added the username Sanket on my test forum even to the Moderator group.

Wow, its a mystery to me also. Not a big deal really. This is a new forum that is phpbb3 created a few weeks ago, so is it possible that is a new setting that is not changeable?

Administration Panel > General > Categories and forums > Modify Topic where you want remove moderator group > Permissions > Simpe/Advanced - set Advanced > Moderate - uncheck moderator group

Yeah I know all of that and did all of that, but it won't show the moderators name at the bottom of the topics list, it just shows a link to the Moderators Groups. The person is a Moderator and all of that is fine they have full moderator power, but my issue is that there name is not showing at the bottom of the forum topics list just a link to the Moderator Groups. There name is in the Moderator Groups but not at the bottom of the topics list.

Try Uncheck all groups in "Moderate" if not already do it. Administration Panel > General > Categories and forums > Modify Topic where you want remove moderator group > Permissions > Simpe/Advanced - set Advanced > Moderate - uncheck moderator group > Save

Then go to Administration Panel > Users & Groups > Search Users > Modify a User > Premissions > Moderator status - check its Moderator > Save

Then go to Administration Panel > Users & Groups > Groups > Group Administration > Modify "Moderators" group > Premissions > Moderator status -uncheck all "its Moderator" > Save
