Solved instruction please to move post

Post by laura lanham Fri 24 Aug - 13:01

This is just a simple tell me how question lolI am probably going to fell pretty stupid when someone tells me as well.

I need to move individual posts.

I CAN SPLIT them to a entire new thread
this is NOT what I wish to do

I wish to move a post to a different already existing posting thread
I could copy and paste it but then I loose the member id on said post.

I looked at using the merge topic button but it seems to merge two entire threads together.. not what I need.

is there a way to move a post to an existing thread without moving the entire thread?

You need to first split them (those posts) to a new thread and than use the option to merge that thread to the one you want. That's the correct way, you should now be losing anything like that.
