The theme I have chosen for my forum has a video embedded in it. How can I remove this? (I have looked everywhere in my admin panel but I can't find this item's controls.)

Actually, it's a banner ad. Each time I go to the preview page it changes. When I was editing before it was showing an embedded video player but the video couldn't be played so it was offering a link to a video downloader called ilivid.com. I don't suppose banner ads can be removed (since I guess that's how this service can be offered for free)?

You can remove the ads completely by spending credits which you can buy.

General>Forum>Configuration
Reduce the number of displays for images advertisments :Yes
Activate ads :Guest
Save.
