I have builded a forum recently and now i wish to add something to the home page, the possibility was to add a widget to it but i find the position of it pretty bad. Is there a way to get a widget (or just with html) beneath or next to a chatbox on top of the forum?

Is that what you're looking for? You can align a widget with the chat box.
