I would like to see for the Portal, when creating more than one portal you should be able to use more than one News in each. Right now if you generate three portals with a news in each and want to change the news for each Portal well that can not be done idiotic really

I say have each announcement if used at the same time not go booma rama ._. but yer, like this idea.

Reasoning why I wanted three news sections, was because I made my portal look like a functioning website, visually and contextually! I run a website for an xbox clan, so what I was trying at that time was Homepage was portal with news of Clan Ops...

News/Updates link would go to portal 2 with the news from the forum News/Updates

Recent Gaming link would go to portal 3 with the news from the forum Recent Gaming. It looks cleaner than topic list and I love the functionality.

Actually this is a very nice suggestion, due to the fact that some people don't have knowledge to HTML, so this can be a cheat way for them.

Yes, that, and since you would need php to grab things from the certain forum. And/or php to even make a news page instead of constantly updating tables and able to just write in a textarea and click submit Very clean as well if you can present the portal nicely.
