    Solved Log-in Register problems

    Post by felicity4us2 November 22nd 2012, 5:01 pm

    http://www.igdid.com/forum

    This has been ongoing for a couple of days. People are complaining that they cannot register or login. They say that when they try, the box just disappears.

    So, I have tried - no problem. Others aren't having problems either, but those who are - it seems that no matter what I try to get them to do, nothing works. Any thoughts?

    I have a person now - I told her to try clear cache, cookies, use another browser - none of that worked. I have another person who I took in chat and told her what to do. None of those things worked - yet I had no trouble logging in 'for' here. And, most of our members have not had a problem

    thanks for any thoughts.

    Don't really see a problem. Maybe, you should ask the user to take a screenshot.

    What exactly are you talking about with "box disappears" I'll have to agree with sanket, a screenshot would work alittle more.
    I'm going to check the site to see if anything I can reenact the issue.

    Had no issues of signing up nor signing. In any browser. Do you have a special javascript in your js management that is marked in all pages?? I am catching a console error, which who knows could be effecting some people registration and so forth.

    Sorry, I am dealing with people who have never been to our board before and trying to get them to tell me. I am going to close that little floaty box and see if that's what they are describing. I have had trouble with it before.

    This is the only new code in javascript

    $(function() {
    var a = $('.edited_message').get();
    for (i=0; i<a.length; i++) if (a[i].innerHTML != '') a[i].className += ' real_edited';
    });

    and only in subforums and topics. Do I even need that? I have no idea what that was, but I deleted it and things seem fine on the board. Now, will wait to see if anyone else reports problems. Thanks.

    There was an error of uncaught syntax or something for a script at the end of it. I am not seeing it anymore though. I tried finding it to show you Rideem, but yeah not there anymore.

    And OP that script you deleted was for the LAST EDITED message, I believe Rideem actually gave you that code because I remember that code well. I used a css pseudo to do that. but yeah that is what that was for.

    Maybe it's the only problem which you meet.
