Member not allowed to join or log in forum

I have a friend from a middle east country that i told him to join my forum. When he went to register he got a message saying "You are not allowed to register on this forum."

So i went and made him an account myself, and i sent him the username and password, but when he put it in and clicked Log In it it still wouldnt let him log in. Any thoughts? Is it possible forumotion is blocked there? Or maybe hes using a proxy and forumotion is blocking him?

any ideas?

No its not locked, everyone else can join and log in fine. Its just for this one member.

Maybe (s)he hasn't activated her account. Also, check the following: ACP >> Users & Groups >> Inactive users & also, users deactivated.

The accounts activated. Like i said in the other post, i even tried letting him use one of my alts. I can post the username and password here and youll be able to log on just fine. But when he trys it wont let him. Something is blocking him.

Ask him to clear his cache & try?

I had him clear cache and he says the message is still showing

Start>Run
In the window that comes up type in the little box 'cmd'
then 'enter'
A window will pop up, type in
'ipconfig/flushdns'
then 'enter' again
It will report back that it has 'successfully flushed the DNS resolver cache'.

Ask him to do this, see if that helps in anyway.

Okay i had him do this and but it didnt say it flushed the DNS resolver cache.

It says "The requested operation requires elevation."

Whats this mean?

Is he logged in as a Administrator of the system or the user has multiple userids for the system?

He says it does it even when hes trying from his iPhone though. And isnt using wifi on his iphone, so its not possible to use a proxy on iphone if hes using regular cell service is it?

It could be his government blocking Forumotion. I have seen this problem before... if that is the case, then there is nothing we can do about it.

Alright...i guess that must be it. If there's no other thoughts ill go ahead and mark this solved.
