Problem in Posting

Hi,

New members are finding it problematic posting in my forum...After they post five times, They seem to come up against this message, " **You cannot post new topics in this forum/You cannot reply to topics in this forum* " which prevents them from further posting..How to overcome this problem ?

Chances are you have users auto-subscribing to a certain group at 5 posts that doesn't allow them to post in certain sections. Check this in
ACP > Users & Groups > Group Administration

No, Caliburn..As of now..They do not belong to any groups ...

So Why am I getting the message?

The issue occurs randomly and seems to resolve itself after couple of hours ..but it leads to a bad impression aming members, Is there a surefire way of ensuring smooth functioning of forum?

The members are not allowed to post in that specific forum, wherever they get that error.
General>Categories and Forums
click on a forum name
Permissions tab.
Change the permissions there.

No, the issue is not about permission cuz the said member would have posted already in a xyz forum but would get the error message when she tries to post again... and sometimes it happens to the first time poster as well.. The error message is very unbiased

Can you post a screenshot of the problem?

Could it be the flood control error?

Flood control. Delay between 2 messages, topics or private messages by a user.

But, i remember this error has the time mentioned as well. Either ways, just check.
