Custom Registration page

Is it possible for me to create my own custom registration page in some way ? and if so how? and has anyone done this? if so can I have a link to look at it.

I don't believe thats possible.

Ok what I am trying to do is create a simple form for people who wish to join, in other words they send me a couple of preferred user id's and their email address I then register them and send them the info so that they are able to log in. I won't let them use the registration for users in the normal way, I will have access to that only when I register them. Hope this is clear?

Making a form to get the details from them is Okay. However, the registration page should be gone through to register them. It doesn't make sense to register each & every user yourself.

So how would I create a form ? or is this something I need to request in another forum?

Whats the use of the form? It won't anyway be related to the registration.

Because I wish to register all the members myself, I have seen it in operation on other forums and it works very well in fact I know of a forum with over 10,000 members and they have always do it, it does help to stop spammers etc.

One way is to stop registration for new members. Create a form for users to send you the details. Once, you receive the details. You can activate the registration & register the users.

The 10,000 members isn't a Forumotion site you are correct.

So how would I do that?

Do what? You said, you already created the form right?

Users & groups>Users Options.
Allow new members: No.
Save.
