DELETED MESSAGES?!?!?!?

I have a forum here at http://forum.zibri.org

Subforum http://forum.zibri.org/f4-agif used to have more than 78 PAGES of messages.
It now has only 8!!!

What happened???
Please tell you messed up and you have a backup!

Ok. I restored a backup of 2 days ago and everything SEEMED ok.

I obviously had a topic DOUBLED (with the new posts and old posts).

So I merged the 2 subforums and again I got only 7 pages.

What should I do?

Are you talking about forums or topics?

It's a topic inside a subforum.

When I restore I found 2 "same topics". 1 with the first 73 pages.
The second one with apparently 8 pages, but they seem to be 3.
If I merge them I get 8 pages total and not 80.
I did this twice. Same behaviour.

I locked the big one now to avoid any problems.

Can I download a full backup of the forum (just in case) ?

Messages in a subject: 990 messages (once the limit reached, the subject is locked and splitted)

Nevermind.. I just noticed that forums splits topic automatically at 66th page. How can I copnfigure that?

Even if you change this when you hit the limit, the thread will be split and the old part will be locked.

Ok. Got it. How can I have a local (download) backup of the forum?

Why would you need a backup? The topics are not deleted.

Just to have a personal copy of my forum.
For archiving purposes mainly.

The only why to access backups is through the Forum Utilities. Backups are not give out to users.

Why not? What if (one day for some reason) I will need to transfer this forum?

If you're referring to th database? You can't access it nor transfer it to another hosting.

That's unfair. Even the evil google allows to dump all your data before signing off.
