I am trying to creat a forum that can only be view by members a group. When I create a group, I set the permission to "preset" and then when I go to see who can view, the only options I see are admin and mods, no option for groups, even though I had a created group. ??

hmm, I did find a way to do it. there were boxes in the grid, members and guests, that needed to be unchecked, then the rest unlocks for options. This is solved. thanks
