HTML Font Size Problem

So, when I try to resize font through HTML, which is, if I am not mistaking...

But when I enter that piece of code into any templates on my forum it makes everything looks like size 24 instead of my desired effect. Here's an example:

Which part of your forum are you trying to reduce the font size?

actually the html font thingy is just too big that what we think..

simply put 4 or 5 size..

Just try using the font-size with style.
Something like this:

<font style="font-size: 12px;">text here</font>
