Post by Guest April 27th 2013, 3:19 am

I have registered a .tk domain and I can't seem to configure it to work on Forumotion. I followed the Tutorial but it didn't work.

    Domain Problem Web10

    Domain Problem Web210
    What do I enter here?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Error

The supplied domain name is not well configured
Your CNAME must redirect to : pannational.forumotion.net

I get that message when I enter my Domain. I have no idea how to configure a CNAME.

Hmmm.... I shall contact .tk support, thanks for your help though, I really appreciate it Smile

EDIT: I did successfully configure it but now Forumotion won't accept it. It presents me with this message=

The supplied domain name is not well configured
Your CNAME must redirect to : pannational.forumotion.net
You have configured a A type DNS ( A type redirects to an IP address, and not to a textual domain name like the CNAME )

And I configured it to a CNAME.... Can someone explain that?

(Sorry Sanket for not replying to my other Topic, my Internet failed Very Happy)

    Read this:
    https://help.forumotion.com/t122686-domain-name-does-not-work

    hello,

for info, never ever use .TK or all other free "domain names" with your forums!!

they're are not real domains, they are just a virtual dns that will destroy all your forum SEO despite of all the technical problem that they can cause to the forum like user registration problem, account validation problem...etc pale

Problem solved. I have not changed my forum name. .tk needed to validate itself.
