    Solved Create Site Form

    Post by DesignersSociety May 6th 2013, 11:19 pm

    I want to create a form for my shop that is on my site gallery. I tried the whole send a private message coding but it didn't work from the images gallery because it just left a comment on the image. I want to place the form below images in the gallery when they are viewing them. I have one now from polldaddy but would like to add my own so I can make the Submit button with an event. The reason I want this is so that when they complete the form and submit it then it gives them the image for download. Here would be the link I want to add which works and downloads the image. {U_PIC} But it only works on that image page so I can't add the form from another page, only directly editing the coding of the View Image page. Anyways if you can understand what Im saying, Id like to create some kind of form they can fill out with the name of the image and their username if necessary and then it comes to me via private message or email. Please and thank you!

    Also here is a lil part I made up that Id want to add if this is helpful:
    <input class="doesntmatter" type="submit" name="submit" value="Submit" onsubmit="window.open('{U_PIC}', '_blank')">

    Yeah i really do not understand it? i remember i have helped with a couple other things i think you had similar to this and could not follow that to well either. The reason is. it is hard to fully understand what you mean without seeing it on the forum or being a member or staff to know exactly what you mean, what it is for, and how to go about setting it up..
    Whatever the case. If this is to be something put in the gallery pages, then my guess is the gallery template would have to be edited after you have or get the proper scripting you need.

    For some reason i keep thinking this should all be done on custom html pages, however i am really not exactly sure what it is you are trying to do. like i understand a little but am having a hard time comprehending how something such as this would have t be set up let alone work.

    i would try to keep things simple as possible and explore any other alternative methods that may be more easier to achieve. I think the reason no one is replying is because no one can really fully understand what your asking the same as me..

    So if you can explain all you can in as much details as possible along with posting any screen shots that will better help us understand.

    and this is a long shot? But would having something like intense debate blog perhaps help? I mean you may be able to add it to the bottom of the gallery pages to where members can post and submit what they want and you can have it to where all blog post have to be approved etc..

    So not sure if that would really help or not for what your asking but can check it out if you like Smile

    Ok i get it she wants buttons under an image that when pressed will pop up a Dailog window that gets filled out with a user name and The image name the want To get, She then wants a Link that can be used to download it sent to Them VIA PM or Email.

    I have no idea how to do this!!
    But my advice is to Add HTMl Buttons under the images that when pressed Downloads the images, to the Members computer.
