Categories...

I am having trouble with creating categories. Seems simple enough but I must be doing something wrong thats probably simple and Im overlooking it. When I first went to my forum the first time I deleted basket and first forum....Did I need those to be in there to create the categories. I went through the tutorial posted here in the FAQ and done everything it said many times over. I see the category in the admin panel where you create them from but it doesnt show up on the front page. If i create a category "test" then create a forum "test2" it lists the test2 on front page but not test as category. When I click on forum "test2" I see the category listed as test exp... "my forum name"/test/test2....pretty confused could use some help thanks.

Be sure you are adding a forum into the category and it is connected to that category or it will not show.

It's OK if you deleted the basket, you can always create a new forum for pruned post/threads to go to if you decide to do pruning at a latter time.

Adjust this option to show the created categories on the index:
Admin panel > Display > Structure & Hierarchy:
Split Categories on Index : Set it to 'Medium'
> Save
