    Solved Finding Unconfirmed Account Creations

Post by gabriel de lorges May 22nd 2013, 1:13 am

I have been unable to find help with this issue. Is there a way in the admin panel to find a registration which has not yet been confirmed through an email acknowledgement? I just registered an account, but have not yet activated it, and I cannot get the account to show up in the 'search users' with either the username or the email address used to create the account.

    Hi.

To find users that haven't activated their account via email go to:

ACP --> Users and groups --> Inactive users

Thank you so much. I have looked at that twice, but still didn't figure it out. So I need to know the username the person registered with in order to find the account. If the answer to this is yes, then you can 'solve' this query. Many thanks again.

    It should appear there.

Can you tell me something. Do your users have to activate there account via email, check here to make sure they do.

In ACP --> Users and Groups --> User Options --> New Account Activation --> User

Yes, they do have to activate from an email link. Not automatic or only by admin.

This is our forum. I just started helping out the owners as admin recently, but I have tried to become very familiar with the ACP. I have a good amount of experience otherwise. Just trying to become completely familiar with forummotion and phpBB.

    Hi,

I would suggest trying to create another account and as soon as you've created this account, don't do anything else other than log in and check to see if the account is there where I said it should be in my first post because I just tested this and it should appear there.

Is it possible one of the co-admins maybe activated the account without knowing you were trying to do a test?
