We received the email saying new member had joined, but we cannot find this member listed.

    Hi,

Can you check the setting of the users activation:

    ACP >> Users & Groups >> Users Option >>

    > New accounts activation :
    > Allow new members : Make sure its on yes

    ACP >> Users & Groups >> inactive users >>

    Solved Re: New Memeber

    Post by itoh Tue 28 May 2013 - 19:14

I just tried to register with a "fake" email address and found out that email was sent to me (my email as Admin) advisisng of a new member, but the 'new' member was not allowed to join. I think someone tried to register using a fake email and I received an email stating a new member had registered when in fact they were not allowed to join.
I think that explains why I (as Admin) received the email notifivation of a new member even though he/she was not allowed to join.
Therefore, believe this problem is solved.
    Thajks for the help.
