pages split

why do my pages split after it gets to page 39? is there a way to fix this so it will add more pages instead of spliting and opens a page on its own?

Are you talking about a topic being split?

If a topic receives more than 990+ replies the topic will split and lock and will become a new topic.

hmmm thats strange cause another group I am in they can have up to 46 pages and it does not split for them. only reading the second part of your message above now.

It depends on the number of posts per page.

Administration Panel > General > Messages & Emails > Configuration
