Hello , try this code
Code:
   img
{
    filter: url(filters.svg#grayscale); /* Firefox 3.5+ */
    filter: gray; /* IE6-9 */
    -webkit-filter: grayscale(1); /* Google Chrome & Safari 6+ */
    transition: 0.3s;
}
img:hover
{
    filter: none;
    -webkit-filter: none;
}

try adding this in your css.

Code:
a.mainmenu:hover img {
opacity : .5;
-khtml-opacity : 0.7;
-moz-opacity : 0.7;
filter : alpha(opacity=20);
opacity : 0.7;
}

Can you do this so it only grays out the images in the forum sections?

@ Kirk

That code did nothing.

Thanks!
