I believe it must be an IP ban because as soon as I entered the forum address and went to the URL the ban message came up. I was not logged in or anything.

Banned From My Own Forum
I am the Founder of the forum http://ussendeavor.forumotion.com I had given a second person admin permissions which I know isn't always a good idea. (Kicking myself at the moment). They have now become a rogue admin. Somehow they have managed to ban me from my own forum and I am unable to get in to take it back over. How do I go about gaining access to the forum again?

Try using the Forum Utilities to gain access to your administration panel - https://www.forumotion.com/en/utils/ .

I just tried and it comes up that I am banned. I can't get into the control panel. I have the email to show I am the forum creator, etc. What can be done?

Re: Banned From My Own Forum
The forum is restored to where the ban is lifted for a backup. But on the original site it still says that I am banned.

Re: Banned From My Own Forum
Thanks. It looks like the ban is still on now. On the backup I created it isn't there. But on the original site it still says I'm banned. To be honest I have never seen anything like this before. I can't figure out what he did.

Didn't want to double post. Here is a screenshot of what the original forum says. I am in the backup forum now. My username was changed. How do I get into the original forum?

Thanks. I just read it. Using the utilities hasn't helped me to get in. The ban message still comes up. How can I get the forum back?

Re: Banned From My Own Forum
Use this to gain access to your administration panel - http://ussendeavor.forumotion.com/login?redirect=admin%2Findex.forum . Did you give this second administrator the founder account information?

Re: Banned From My Own Forum
I have just been onto the site and it's telling me the same thing. So it's not just the admin, it looks like an IP block to me. As it said that as soon as I got on the site.

Re: Banned From My Own Forum
Hello,
As your IP has been banned from your own forum, it is for this reason that you no longer have access to your forum, even allent your administration panel.
But however you tried bypassed your IP ban.
http://ussendeavor.forumotion.com/admin/login.forum?redirect=/admin
You are no longer banned, also I too am banned, but I'm under French IP.
I leave you verrifier your template of your forum.
Or it is the activation of the forum is under construction would be possible.
Have a great night on the FOTF (Forum of the forums)

Re: Banned From My Own Forum
I had given the second admin the wrong email by mistake. I just gave him the correct one. I thought it was an IP ban too. I've never seen anything like that before. How can it be straightened out? I tried the redirect St. Gray gave me and it led back to being banned.

Re: Banned From My Own Forum
Well When I tried to get onto the OPs forum yesterday, via the link he posted here, I got the message "You Have Been Banned from this Forum." I have tried the link just now and I am still getting the same message. And I have never been a member of that forum. So it's not just your IP that's blocked, it seems to be the IP of everyone who visits the site.Tomix wrote:Hello,

I agree, but I have never seen anything like that before. How could that be done? Seems like a lot of work to accomplish.

Re: Banned From My Own Forum
Could be that another administrator banned a IP range?

Seems like that is probably the answer. How can that be gotten around?

Re: Banned From My Own Forum
Well Hardigan, if the other admin can still access your forum, he should just unban all the IPs. As what he has probably done, is banned the IPs by range or ISP by mistake. Instead than per users, which is why you and everybody else is blocked and cannot access your forum.

I got an email that showed I had a PM but when I went to access it it wasn't there. I don't know if it was the admin trying to contact me or what happened.

Re: Banned From My Own Forum
This is actually the 2nd time I've seen someone's forum be hacked and then manage to make a banned page to everyone on the forum. I don't really know how they accomplished this, but I do know that the 1st time I saw this it worked. I think Sanket will need to help you with it though

Re: Banned From My Own Forum
After using the founder account to log on, I noticed that there was an account called anonymous was banned. I unbanned the account which allowed you to log on. That account exactly did not show up in the memberlist or the memberlist in the administration panel.
