Can't embed code straight from youtube

The short way of posting youtube videos no longer works; the result is just a square outline of the video surrounding black space.  (This is done by clicking on a youtube video and selecting "copy embedded code.")

Can this be fixed? (Using the editor's youtube icon is a slower method)

It might be a CSS or HTML. That or some data needs to go or be repaired can you send a upload?

Thanks for the reply. By 'send a upload' do you mean a screenshot?

It's the embed code that you are copying from YouTube. The URL isn't complete within the code. Add "http:" before the "//www.youtube.com" part of the code.

You can also simply not use the embed code and copy the videos page address and paste it into the text editors youtube button, the text editor will add its codes to make the video show.

But that is too slow. We never needed to do that before, so?

I know that. I already explained why I prefer the old method: the point is to eliminate unnecessary clicks and messing around, and the new version just makes the whole rigmarole more of a hassle.

Youtube removing the http: in their embed code is a decision they made some time ago, there is no workaround outside of adding it manually.
