Greetings everyone,

Okay, so I've refurbished my old forum Into a completely different and new forum, deleted all users and posts, meaning I will be starting a fresh forum from scratch.

I wish to also delete myself (the Admin), and appoint a new Admin (obviously being myself), so the join date and posts can also start from scratch. I've appointed an Admin (which will eventually be me), and tried to add It as the "Group Moderator" of the Administrators Group In the Group Administration of the ACP, however It won't allow me to do that.

Basically, how can I appoint an Admin (It will be myself), appoint that Admin as the main Administrator, then delete my old Admin user account?

All help Is greatly appreciated.

if you want to give main administration you can't. Only founder can be main administrator.

Okay, well that explains why I can't appoint a main Admin.

The problem Is, even with all posts deleted from the forum, (there are no posts active), my profile still displays the same post count prior to deletion. Why would this happen? All post are gone. Is there any way to remove the post count?

Hi,

Quite often this does happen when deleting a number of posts. However an easy solution is to do the following.

Go to ACP --> General --> Forum --> Configuration --> Synchronize a user --> Enter your username --> Save

Then go to the same location and click the box next to the option Synchronize Forum then hit save.

This should solve any problems.

I appreciate your help, but unfortunately the above procedure failed to reset my post count to It's proper status.

I've applied everything accordingly, but to no avail. I've even deleted the forum cookies, but still no luck.
There must be a setting In the ACP that will set It correctly?

Edit: I've just applied It quite a few times In a row (one after the other) very quickly, and It worked

Sorry I forgot to mention that trying it a couple times usually works as I've given this suggestion before and it usually works after 2/3 attempts.
