Solved Members abusing the "Report Abuse" link

Post by ohiotayfan January 7th 2014, 2:20 pm

    Hi there,
I am an admin on a forum (not the founder, however) and recently we have been receiving a ridiculous amount of abuses reported to our forum. We think that they are coming from banned members that are holding a grudge with us over being banned, but we obviously can't tell for sure, since they all are anonymous.

But my question is, is there anything we can do about all of these reports? They are all false, so we're not worrying about anything, but they are quite annoying to deal with when there's anywhere from 1-5 almost everyday.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

You can't disable the Report abuse link, however, there is nothing to worry since the reports are only being sent into your admin panel and not to Forumotion. We can only advice you to move the reports to 'Done abuses' and ignore those reports, eventually, those guests will get tired. Wink

Alright, that's what I figured since I remember reading that the link can't be disabled.

    This is solved. Smile
