I know its a valid email address. Is that some sort of security feature on Forumotion to prevent spammers to deny registration with email addresses starting with the word info?

Some email addresses that are commonly used by bots and other spammers do tend to be blocked. Its unfortunate for those who are genuine but it does help with spam.
