Not an Admin, just a newbie member. Chat/page will not auto advance. Need to hit F5 to see next post or page. What do I need to have auto refresh? Thanks- Lou

Re: Refresh
Hi,
With forumotion I don't think you can have auto page refresh.

Hi Derri, Maybe I'm posting in the wrong place. I just joined "The Elite Trading Forum" . I clicked on a button at the bottom of the page marked "free forum support", which brought me to forumotion. My refresh issue is not with THIS thread, but on a phpBB forum that is linked to this one.

Do you mean that the page is not fully loading?

Re: Refresh
Hi Angie, I am in The Elite Trading Forum. When other members post I can not see their new post unless I hit F5 to refresh the page. When that page is full and the posts are on the next page I have to hit F5 to get to that new page. I am the only one out of 8 posting today that has this problem. Does that explanation help?Ange Tuteur wrote:Hello,

Re: Refresh
Yes you have to manually refresh the page to see new posts, FM doesn't provide auto refreshing by default.

Re: Refresh
That sounds completely normal.
Unless you're heavily modifying your forum with AJAX, there is no way by default that a new post will pop up without refreshing.

Re: Refresh
No, that is not what I mean. When anyone posts on the forum, I can not see any new post without hitting the F5 key (refresh). When the current page is full and the chat continues to the next page, I have to hit the F5 key(refresh) to see the next page, it will not advance automatically.SLGray wrote:Do you mean that the page is not fully loading?
