Our CSS Stylesheet is set to automatically resize avatar pics to 80 x 80. The avatar image pixel size is not the issue here.
Some of our users like to load animated avatar pics. They are resized without problems. However, these animation pics still require substantial FILE SIZE (Mb) and that slows the browsing experience for some other users.
In some cases, some people have repeatedly linked 2 Gb avatar files.
Is there a means by which we can prevent an avatar pic from loading if:
(a) the file size is larger than X Kb? (50 Kb) AND/OR
(b) is an animation file (*.gif)?
Our forum is running on "Invision".
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cheers, PK.
