Solved Adding an image to the front page

    Post by Damascus7 July 29th 2014, 8:06 am

I've been searching around for help on this but haven't been able to find anything.  And it doesn't look like editing my CSS is going to help with this.

    My website is: http://iowapokeleague.forumotion.com/

I'd like to add a .PNG image to my front page underneath the forum headers themselves, and before the forum statistics.

I haven't found any way for me to go in and directly alter the theme or the page's HTML.  Can anyone help me with this?

EDIT:  To clarify, I want the image to be embedded and not in the background, so that it does push the statistics further down the page.

Have you tried editing the templates?  It would in one of the footer templates.

I can't seem to figure out how to edit templates.  After I searched for a while, I found some instructions telling me to go into Display -> Templates -> General, but I can't seem to find those options under my Display tab.

Are you logged into the founder account? Only the founder account can modify the templates.

OH, my bad!  I was using an admin account, but not the founder one.  I can now see the "beginning of footer" and "end of footer" section.  I'm not sure which one to put it in.

I've got the code for inserting the image, but at the moment, when I put it in the "beginning of footer" it keeps appearing at the very bottom of the page, below the "new posts, no new posts, locked" legend.

EDIT:  I tried it in the "index_box" section, and it went right where I wanted!  Thanks for all the help!
