Slide loads forever when reading comments

Hey there!  

I have a little problem with my forum. I'm not that good in coding, so don't know where I messed it up or what's going on with it...
My problem is that I have a nivo slideshow embeed into my forum. It works perfectly at the home page, but when I click a topic it just won't load. And besides this it makes the smileys crash as well and they don't appear. :\

I'd be open to any kind of solution. Either by making the slide(and smileys) work when reading the comments in a topic or make the whole recent topic and slide part hidden when someone is reading a topic.

The Nivo slider's Homepage/ Generalities part is put into the Templates/ Portal/ mod_recent_topics. 
I tried to set the js of the slider to see on all pages and everything, but if I change the setting the slider doesn't work on the main page either. :S

Since the recent topics thing is a widget I looked around for scripts that made the widget to be seen on the homepage only, but they didn't work and just made the slider crash.

If any script is needed to be posted or you need an admin account on the forum let me know...

No, but replaced the slide with something else, so you can close it.
