It almost captures all the text at the legend, except not all of it. Is it because the image is too small, or is there a CSS code I can use to extend the ends of the default picture in the tutorial?

You are correct, the background image would need to be wider. You can of course try adjusting its size with CSS :
Display > Colors > CSS stylesheet
