How to import a theme

I am having a hard time trying to import a theme, could someone help me out? I have tried many times.

Edit: This is urgent, please someone help.

A, If NO then this can not be done Unless you make the skin your self on your forum using the items from the files you have.
If YES then please send a link to the skin you wish to add to your site.

Q, was your skin made on a FM site and then passed on to you ?
A, If yes then you need to follow the following steps >>
ACP >> Display Tab >>
   Skins >> Themes management >> Import the skin >> Click inport and then look for your skin you have on your computer.

NOTE: this skin can not be imported from any other forum host sites as we only use skins from Hitskin and no other forum skin host sorry.

ok after looking at your file you sent me this is not a file we can use to upload to our forums as this is not supported by FM The skin was not made for FM forums but it was made for Phpbb forum's this software is not the same as ours as we wright out own systems.

can i ask where this download was got from or the forum it was used ? ;inks to that info will help me find out where this was meant to be hosted.

If your file format is not accepted then I don't think there is anything that can be done.

You will have to add the information (images, CSS, etc.) manually.

Even then, if the CSS was written for another forum host the selectors to style the elements could be different. This means that you'll have to improvise where needed by gathering the correct selectors for your forum version.

I have a .bbtheme from another forumotion.com site, is this supported?

Yes, if it is from Forumotion. You can import it here :
Display > Themes management > Import the skin

I have having some trouble doing that, could a FM staff member do it for me? APE did not really help me.

Click browse, select the bbtheme file, then click the import button.

I did that, it does not work.

What does it say when you import the theme ?

It says that good message etc. But, It is not working.

It is best to exactly go to Hitskin and install a theme.  You do know that most of that forum is done by modifications that can not be imported/installed.

Even if a bbtheme is supplied not everything is transferred. By choosing Wholestyle the following content can be imported to another forum :

• Images
  
• Colors
  
• CSS stylesheet
  

The following content cannot be imported by bbtheme :

• JavaScript Files
  
• Templates
  

This member sent me the skin and i looked over it and the theme was not going in the forum. the problem is it is not the right format for our forum. That is why it will not go in he's forum i did try and tell this member that without the file being on hitskin this will not work.

Im not 100% sure why this member is saying it was gave to them from some other forum of FM as the file was asked to be down loaded from a file that had nothing to do with our forums at all.

I did all i could to get this file to work but as the file was not a file our forum will take there is nothing we can do.

EDIT: when the file was Emailed to me it was a link to a download file and not a file that was made for our forums.
This is why the file was not took by our forums system i have told this member that there is nothing we can do.
