Sometimes it takes time for the feeds to update.  How much time has passed?

No change Evil or Very Mad

    I also tried:
    - http://myforumadress/rss - no effect
    - checked permissions of public part of forum again - permissions OK (all set to view & read by public), no effect
    - checked if other rss channels or feeds work - passed, all other rss channels or feeds OK

Still only one forum in rss channel with only first post in reader appears... (there are more posts in that public part of forum, but I can see only first one in reader / but as mentioned - reader checked to provide other site feeds - all ok)

It could be that two of the topics have no replies.  The one appearing in the feeds have 5 replies.

Solved Re: Feed reader doesn't display the newest post in a topic

hm...I should write some correction of my previous reply -  first should be clear, we have "Category", "Forum", "Topic" and finaly "Reply" (or "Post")

My goal is to reach point where my feed reader provide the last "Reply" (last post) in the "Topic". At the moment my reader provide only first post of created Topic. But, when the topic is replied, reader is not refreshed anymore and provide still only the first post of the topic.

...But as you mentioned as soon as new topic with a post is added to a forum in public category, reader provide it - works fine, but that is all.. no more replies provided in that topic by reader if the topic is replied - and that is the point of my question.

Reader tested on some other forums - everything OK, since the topic (public topic - should be also clear am talking about public topics) is replied reply appears immediately after reader refresh its content.

    What am I doing wrong?

Solved Re: Feed reader doesn't display the newest post in a topic

OK, I performed some tests, and...

I had turned off the timestamps of "items" provided by feed reader, so ASAP when I turned this feature on, I found that feed reader refresh time of posted topic correctly, but! still provide only the first post of topic, not the post (reply) which was written in the time that I can see in the feed reader content.

I tried to manage sort order of replies in admin mode of the forum (vice-versa), hoped it's gonna help, but not Evil or Very Mad

Now you as a part of stuff can say... it works, it is refreshed, because it provides last timestamp and name of replied topic... but as I mentioned it not provide last post - always just first post, no matter which way are posts in topic sorted.

Once again for me this is a kind of strange behavior, cause got no problem with other forums - no matter how posts are sorted, feed reader always provide topic, the last post in it and timestamp corespond to the last post.

So now tell me - could you help me with this?

That is how it works, the first post of a topic is shown on the RSS feeds.

Example:  Press the RSS button in the toolbar at the top of the support forum.  Look for your topic.  You will see only the first post of the topic.

OK, so ...with the Forumotion - is there a way how to display the newest post of a topic through feed reader? (cause other parties forums am using, provide the newest one for the feed reader)

Anyway, if there is no way how to provide the newest post of a topic, just feel free to change the name of this topic from "FEED doesnt updated anymore" to "Feed reader doesn't display the newest post in a topic" and mark it as solved one. I am now clear with your way of providing posts to be displayed in feed readers.

Correct, it will display the author's message and the title of the topic. Unfortunately there is no way to modify the way the feed works. It is mainly for showing which topics are currently active on the forum.
