My forum isn't allowing some names?

Having an odd problem with a new forum, I am trying to create a test member and no matter what name I register in I get the same message as show below which is that the name has already been taken but I don't have any members with these names, I only created the forum today.

go to ACP --> General --> Security --> Disallow Registration with the most commonly used spam names (its something like that) --> No --> Save

The option is 'Unauthorized subscriptions made with the most commonly used spam usernames : No'

Also check to see if that account in on the inactive list:

AP > Users & Usergroups > Users > Inactive List
