Sorted topics in subforums

I want to know, In General -> Categories & Forums -> Modify we have a options: Sort topics by :
Like an image...



So I wonder if this solution is able to put in subforums?
Something like ih this picture:

A solution for what? As far as i can see from the image you provided you have them sorted out by Topic's title by alphabetic order. If you want the subforums to be sorted by Topic's post's date then you should edit the "Sort topics by" field and select the type you want them to be sorted.

I would like to sort topics by subforum, not from the administrative panel... and members will be able to sort them as how they want...

So you want to add the sort by function in the topic list page. Ok. Let me test it and i will inform you as soon as / if i find a solution.

It is very easy to add it in your forum but you will need a javascript to make it work. (I think)
As you can see in the image below i added the function in the topic list but it wont work.

It is not working. It is just there but it doesn't do anything.
You will have to wait for someone who knows javascript coding to help you with this. I am not that good at javascript.
Btw, if you want to add it with no effect then simply follow the below:
Go to Admin Panel >> Display >> Templates >> General >> topics_list_box
and press the edit icon ( ).

the amount of javascript it would take someone a week to write it from scratch .. but i will search google and see if i can find some code to patch together...your forum version is phpbb3 correct?
